# SAT Math - Question of the day - 4th Nov 2016

A car covers a circular field at 20 minutes per round traveling at 40 miles/hr. What is the radius of the circle?

Option:

a. 5.2

b. 10

c.  2.12

d.  4.2

Solution:

Let's assume the cicumference of the circle to be d .

Let's assume radius of the circle to be r.

Distance d covered by car in 20 minutes =  (40 x 20) / 60 = 13.34 miles

Distance d covered by car in 20 minutes = Circumference of the circular field

13.34  =  2 ( 3.14 ) r

r  =  2.12

Hence, choice C is correct.
